Terms of Use
Last updated: 2026-04-21
1. Informational purposes only
The calculators and articles on Renomath are for general informational and planning purposes. They are not a bid, a contract, an appraisal, legal advice, tax advice, or a substitute for a licensed general contractor's estimate.
2. No warranty on numbers
We source our per-square-foot baselines and regional multipliers from third-party data (Remodeling Magazine's Cost vs. Value, HomeAdvisor True Cost Guide) and update them annually. Despite our efforts, renovation costs vary by neighborhood, season, site conditions, and materials pricing on any given week. Numbers shown on this site are ranges, not commitments.
3. Your responsibility
- Confirm figures against at least one licensed contractor bid before signing any contract or loan.
- Obtain required permits for your project — the calculator does not estimate permit fees.
- Verify regional data; if you live in an outlier market (e.g., major coastal metros, remote areas), adjust accordingly.
4. No liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Renomath is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. Renomath, its operators, and its contributors are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the calculators or content — including but not limited to budget overruns, construction delays, or contractor disputes.
5. Intellectual property
Calculator code, written content, and site design are © Renomath. You may share links freely. You may not republish the underlying cost tables, copy substantial portions of our editorial content, or scrape this site without written permission.
6. External links
We link to third-party sites (data sources, government agencies, reference guides) for your convenience. We do not endorse, and are not responsible for, any content on those sites.
7. Changes
We may update these terms. The "Last updated" date above will reflect any change. Continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
